The Whitfield and Cooke Units are longer-term stays for the elderly residents and this is their "home". Alden Court strives to create an enjoyable, relaxed environment for all of our residents.
Alden Court is known for its activities program, which, unlike other facilities, has offerings on late afternoons, evenings and weekends. We value our families and create many opportunities for visit, including a steady stream of local performers. We also offer a therapeutic art program two times per week and mount an exhibit of residents' work each year.
Skilled nursing care around the clock helps residents avoid hospitalizations, and a full calendar of activities, both inside our facility and out, add to quality of life. We create “neighborhoods” with various sitting rooms to visit with family, and our new media room with theater seating, salon, health spa, and library provide many choices for activities. We try to provide a continuation of what our residents might do at home, with the goal of keeping residents busy and engaged.
